October 2018 Book of the Month

Book of the Month isn't intended as a book club thing. Instead, it's a way for me to suggest books for you to read. Sometimes the books will have impacted me greatly and other times they'll be what I've read recently. If you would like to use my Book of the Month as a reading club, though, feel free to.

The Book of the Month is Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward by Tom Waltz.

The summary from Amazon:
When hitman Jack "The Pup" Stanton runs away with his mob boss's wife, he thinks he's finally put his murderous past behind him. Instead, Jack and his lover take a wrong turn into Silent Hill and quickly learn that some sins are impossible to escape.

I love the Silent Hill series and was greatly disappointed when Silent Hills was cancelled. Though the only game in the series I've managed to play is Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, I have spent many days learning about the history of the Silent Hill series. I am far from a comic book reader but have read other Silent Hill comics in the past. The reason Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward came onto my radar is because many people said it was a Silent Hill comic that was actually good. I wasn't disappointed when I read it.

If you are submitting a written review it needs to be a minimum of 3,000 words long. If your review is made up of multiple posts, each post needs to be a minimum of 1,000 words.

If you are submitting a video review it needs to be a minimum of 15 minutes long. If your review is made up of multiple videos, each video needs to be a minimum of 10 minutes.

When you submit an entry provide a name you want to be credited with. Be aware that if you are submitting a review with multiple parts, each part will have its own post on the blog.

Each of the winners will have their review put on this blog. There will be a total of three winners.

The end date for submissions is  October 24, 2018. Winners will be announced shortly after that. If you are on tumblr, you'll get an early look at who won and lost.
