September 2018 Book of the Month

Book of the Month isn't intended as a book club thing. Instead, it's a way for me to suggest books for you to read. Sometimes the books will have impacted me greatly and other times they'll be what I've read recently. If you would like to use my Book of the Month as a reading club, though, feel free to.

The debut Book of the Month is Animorphs #1 The Invasion by K.A.Applegate.

The summary from Amazon:
The Earth is being invaded, but no one knows about it. When Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, and Marco stumble upon a downed alien spaceship and its dying pilot, they're given an incredible power -- they can transform into any animal they touch. With it, they become Animorphs, the unlikely champions in a secret war for the planet. And the enemies they're fighting could be anyone...even the people closest to them.

Animorphs was the first book series that I really got into. Even as an adult it holds up. While Harry Potter is more popular, this series with silly covers is more hard hitting. This series is also probably the reason I am in love with first person point of view.

If you are submitting a written review it needs to be a minimum of 3,000 words long. If your review is made up of multiple posts, each post needs to be a minimum of 1,000 words.

If you are submitting a video review it needs to be a minimum of 15 minutes long. If your review is made up of multiple videos, each video needs to be a minimum of 10 minutes.

When you submit an entry provide a name you want to be credited with. Be aware that if you are submitting a review with multiple parts, each part will have its own post on the blog.

Each of the winners will have their review put on this blog. There will be a total of three winners.

The end date for submissions is  September 20, 2018. Winners will be announced shortly after that. If you are on tumblr, you'll get an early look at who won and lost.
