Refusing to Become a Queen
After the war, Gendry Baratheon married Sansa Stark at the request of King Jon Stark. Arya Stark had wanted to be with the man and was saddened she couldn't marry him.
Her main concern after the war, though, was the fact she didn't know what to do without a conflict. She didn't know how to adapt to a world that wasn't at war and one where she didn't need to avenge her family. She became involved in an affair with Jon whom she loved. However, this relationship meant she was constantly asked to become a queen.
Arya waits one morning for Jon to come back from his morning ride on Ghost. They discuss a letter from King's Landing. It states that Queen Daenerys Targaryen and King Jorah Mormont are requesting another tutor for Sarisa Targaryen. When Jon suggests Arya go tutor his daughter, she is extremely tempted but decides becoming too involved in politics is not worth it.
The Tryouts
Arya Stark assists Jon Stark in testing people who want to be Sarisa Targaryen's tutor. After everyone has been dismissed, she tells her lover that none of the three are good enough. They come to an agreement that none of them will be sent south as Sarisa's tutor.
TRIVIA
-I ship Arya/Jon. I am surprised with the popularity of Jon/Dany that so many are disgusted by the ship.
-In this version of Arya I wanted to showcase her loving nature as well as her wild side.
-Arya not knowing how to react to a world without war is based on Rachel from the Animorphs series.
