Battle for Winterfell
Tormund Giantsbane defended Winterfell and the living with a vengeance. After Jon Snow was knocked down from Rhaegal, Tormund fought alongside both him and Jorah Mormont. He was there when Jorah and Jon killed the Night King. He was the first to notice that killing the Night King did not kill the dead.

Jorah Mormont figures out that if all the White Walkers are killed then the wights will die. While Jon Snow goes on Rhaegal to update Daenerys Targaryen, Tormund with goes with Jorah as the knight searches for Melisandre. He ends up standing guard at the entrance of the room the Mormont finds the Red Priestess in.

Before Jorah Mormont's Wedding to Daenerys Targaryen
Tormund looks for Jorah Mormont as he knows the man is nervous about something. He finds the man watching Dothraki, Unsullied, and Northerners fight in the courtyard. He starts making idle chatter until Jorah asks why he's really there.

Tormund then takes Jorah to a quieter part of the castle to tell him the truth. At one point Tormund brings up a theory that Jorah is nervous about his wedding to Daenerys because he knows the woman is pure evil. Jorah ends up dismissing the idea.

Ghost suddenly comes to the pair to get Jorah to help with something. The direwolf leads the men to where Northerners are harassing Missandei and Grey Worm. The Wildling is impressed that Jorah was able to end the confrontation without any blood being shed. He asks Jorah where Missandei's guards are and the Mormont replies that he will have some choice words to say to them.
