A Sacrifice
After lying to Arya Stark, Melisandre waits for someone to come. She watches parts of the battle through the flames of the fire she lights.

Melisandre is surprised when Jorah Mormont, not Jon Snow, comes to her with a blade with the Night King's blood on it. She knows that whoever came with their blade was Azor Ahai. She tries to tell the knight the truth before performing the spell that kills all the White Walkers.

Due to the strength of the spell, she dies performing it.

TRIVIA
-Melisandre lied to Arya Stark about being destined to kill the Night King. This manipulation was a last ditch effort by the woman to win the Battle of Winterfell.
