Battle for Winterfell
The Night King launched a large scale battle on Winterfell. He manages to kill Bran Stark by burning the godswood which is where the boy was staying. Shortly after that feat one of Viserion's jaws is torn off by Rhaegal and the Night King is knocked off his dragon by Daenerys Targaryen.
The Night King ends up encountering Jorah Mormont, Jon Snow, and Tormund Giantsbane. During their fight he is injured by Arya Stark, who he kills quickly. Afterwards he is finally taken down by the trio.
He feels relief as he turns back to human upon his death.
TRIVIA
-Viserion is the Night King's mount.
-The Night King turning into a human as he died is a reminder to the readers that he was human at one time.
