Importance:

Fang is the most important Drethiveal. To some he is thought of as a great man while others consider him a minor deity. The time he walked on Gaia is its own little era.

Sometime after the Rethi left, a plague ravished the land. Many died and there didn't seem to be any hope that a cure would be found. Finally a cure was found by Fang. In the process of finding a cure he invented Avealing. Because of that discovery, the plague went away and a new species was born: the Drethiveal.

Fang took the form of a wolf which is why it is blasphemous for a Drethiveal to Aveal into one.

Rethi attempted to come back to Earth after the Drethiveal were created. It was Fang who helped drive the species away and made sure, for many years afterwards, that the Rethi didn't dare come to Gaia again.

"It was then that Gaia sent us a savior." I said. "It was then we were saved. Fang in his genius was able to find a cure. He was able to figure out a way to save us. He found that we could not stay as Rethi but had to evolve to survive. We had to become something greater than any Rethi to survive in this harsh new world."
