Physiology

Humans have two arms, two legs, and no tail. They have one thumb and four fingers on each hand. They have five toes on each foot.

They have hair on their head that ranges in color, length, and thickness. Older humans (both male and female) will sometimes use magic to color their hair in an attempt to hide grey and/or white hairs. Some human males do experience baldness later in life. The earliest recorded instance of baldness in a human occurred at twenty years old.

There are a few differences between males and females. Female mammary glands aid in rearing children. They also help arouse a potential mate. The two have different genitalia. The male's is suited for impregnating a female while the female's is suited for birthing children. These are two of the biggest differences.

While human sexes are binary, their gender identities aren't. Some common gender identities are transexual and genderfluid.

History

At one time both humans and Nieth lived together on Jorn. Wyverns and dragons also lived in an uneasy alliance. They didn't like each other but could co-exist. Then a great war between humans and Nieth started as tensions over the four creatures started to rise. The Nieth believed themselves greater than humans and the humans would not bow down.

During the course of the great war humans mostly rode dragons and Nieth mostly rode wyverns. This helped cause an even greater divide between the two species.

The humans were able to drive the Nieth to the continent of Horngul before tensions eased enough for the war to stop. Though the war isn't actually over yet. Humans still attempt to invade the Nieth's land, but no invasion attempt has succeeded as the rest of Jorn doesn't care enough.

Humans are slaves except when they gain the status of wyvern rider. It is only through the Nieth that humans are able to gain any status. The most powerful humans are those that become wyvern riders. A status that is usually earned by Nieth allowing humans to ride the powerful creatures.

Humans aren't allowed last names even if they are a hybrid.
