Importance:
Rin was in Meereen when she felt a need to rescue Queen Daenerys Targaryen from being murdered by Daario Naharis. She helped the Targaryen escape to the Raqus Estate on Drogon's back while allowing herself to be tortured. As the torture got worse, Rin allowed others to think she was dead before escaping.
It was the act of rescuing Daenerys that made Rin feel obligated to help Daenerys reclaim Meereen and, eventually, go to Westeros for her.
