Becoming Human and the Feud with House Targaryen
There is some magic that can never be properly explained. A group of dragons laid eggs that hatched into humans. Technically a humanoid species that, for all intents and purposes, appeared human. These humans were called Kaari and were blessed with greater magic than most. After awhile only one dragon remained of the genealogical breaking point between dragons and Kaari.

One day a group of hot-headed Targaryens attacked and killed it without provocation. It was that moment that started the feud between Kaari and Targaryens. The Last Dragon's soul was saved and put into the Kaari's ancestral sword.

Serving Rin
Alexander, as it became known, was given to Rin by the Rasiki. It helped her grow and survive. It helped her find new powers inside herself to defeat the mountain. It also turned out it was one part of Lightbringer.

After Another R'hllor Dies
Alexander's power helps Rin defeat R'hllor. She wraps up his corpse afterwards and goes to sleep. After waking up she talks with Alexander. It believes that Rin shouldn't go to King's Landing and help Sarisa. It points out that abandoning someone like Sarisa isn't something the Kaari is strong enough to do.

Because the conversation disturbs Rin, she makes an excuse to end it.
