HISTORY

Before the Fic
Most information remains the same. Daenerys' history deviates from canon during Season 8.

The Battle of Winterfell
In a last desperate move against the Night King, Jon Snow decides to have the battle for the fate of humanity at Winterfell. Shortly before the battle starts, Jon reveals his true heritage to Daenerys. She is stunned and thinks he plans to usurp her.

He flies Rhaegal and Daenerys Targaryen flies Drogon to fight against the Night King. During the sky battle Jon is knocked from Rhaegal and ends up fighting alongside Ser Jorah Mormont and Tormund Giantsbane.

Jon soon decides to get back on Rhaegal and inform Daenerys Targaryen what has happened with the Night King.

Jon and Daenerys argue about whether or not to burn the White Walkers now or wait for Melisandre. The Targaryen starts to burn Winterfell and Jon manages to stop her from destroying everything.

After the Battle
Daenerys checks to see how Jorah Mormont is healing from the Battle of Winterfell. To her oldest friend she voices her concern that Jon is distancing himself from her. She also mentions that she is related to the Stark who is really a Targaryen. The Mormont manages to quell her concerns about Jon.

Daenerys admits her feelings for Jorah. After she explains she has always longed for him but has just been afraid to act on her feelings, he agrees to start a relationship with her.

During the funeral for those that died during the Battle of Winterfell, Jorah makes a speech mourning the deceased Lyanna Mormont who was his cousin. Afterwards everyone cheers the formerly dishonored knight as 'Lord Jorah Mormont'. This causes her to worry that her love will choose the power of ruling his House over marrying her.

The Feast after the Battle of Winterfell
Before the feast Daenerys Targaryen mentions her fears to Jorah Mormont. She is afraid of the isolation she feels in the North. She also fears that Jorah will leave her due to the position of Lord of Bear Island that is now his. She is comforted by how roughly Jorah has sex with her.

Daenerys feels extremely alone at the feast. No one comes up to talk to her while they flock to Jorah Mormont. In order to gain a better foothold on the North she legitimizes Jon Stark and Gendry Baratheon.

During the feast she decides to meet with Jon in a small room. She pleads with him not to tell Sansa Stark which he refuses. After he walks out Jorah enters the room. She tells him her problem with Jon and Jorah does his best to reassure the Targaryen of the Stark's loyalty.

In Winterfell
After the feast Daenerys Targaryen and Jorah Mormont make love. The morning after, Daenerys is ready to face the day but Jorah is recovering from a hangover. While waiting she decides to ride Drogon and ends up finding a nest of dragon eggs. This means that Drogon and/or Rhaegal laid eggs.

In excitement Daenerys races back to Winterfell and finds Jorah waiting outside the castle for her. It takes a little convincing but she gets him onto Drogon and the four of them fly to the cave. She takes him inside the cave and shows him the dragon eggs. In the cave the pair of lovers have sex.

After getting back to Winterfell, Daenerys Targaryen needs Jorah Mormont to reassure her that he will never leave. Later she officially declares him her king. Daenerys is not entirely happy with how Jorah answers Sansa Stark's question about if House Mormont will end with him.

Jorah Mormont and Daenerys Targaryen debate about how to attack King's Landing. Through Varys' spy network they're aware of how Queen Cersei Lannister has promised the commoners safety in the city from Daenerys' forces. After some arguing, Daenerys lies that she won't burn down the city. In truth she is still very much conflicted about what the right decision is.

Jorah reassures his wife that he won't ever leave her side.

Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, Jorah Mormont, and others meet to discuss how to dethrone Cersei Lannister. Lady Stark offers the Targaryen Winterfell for however long she needs. Daenerys can tell her offer is merely a political ploy to test her. Instead of letting Sansa play her, she refuses the offer.

Afterwards she converses with Jorah about the meeting. She tells him that she knew exactly what was going on. He, in turn, tells her that she must learn to play political games in Westeros or risk losing everything. Daenerys doesn't agree with Jorah but admits she admires Sansa's tactics.

Daenerys Targaryen and Jorah Mormont get married in the godswood. During the feast she talks to him about how to punish the Northerners who had harassed Missandei and Grey Worm. Secretly she wants to use the incident as an excuse to attack the North. Jorah ends up convincing her to remain at peace with the North.

Daenerys is amused when Jorah dances with Jon. She reassures Jorah that he is much better in bed than Jon was. They then go off to make love.

Drogon is Daenerys Targaryen's mount as her men, the Dothraki, Unsullied, and Northerners head south. Upon resting for the day, she is more than upset that one of the Dothraki attempted to abandon her. It is Jorah Mormont who stops her from spilling blood in revenge.

During Daenerys Targaryen's fleet's journey to Dragonstone, she patrols the waters along with Jon Snow. Both are on their dragons and know that Euron Greyjoy's fleet could attack at any moment. When he does, both her and Jon are able to burn the enemy fleet down. She then commands that all surviving Greyjoys are to be killed and is shocked that Jorah Mormont thinks that they should take prisoners.

War Against Cersei Lannister
After the fight against Euron Greyjoy, Daenerys Targaryen and her forces are safely in Dragonstone. Doubt starts to fill her mind unlike ever before and she turns to Jorah Mormont for comfort. She is surprised at the issues he raises against her. Such as thinking that anyone in King's Landing deserves her mercy. But she never doubts his love and loyalty to her.

Daenerys Targaryen is enjoying watching her dragons flying when Jorah Mormont reports that Northern soldiers raped, tortured, and killed Missandei. She has already disliked the Westerosi people and felt unloved in the North, so this latest news breaks any goodwill she has for her allies. She allows her utter rage and devastation to make her ignore the best political move. Against Jorah's wishes she declares that she will execute the traitors by having her dragons burn them alive. Upon being executed, Drogon eats one of the soldiers and Rhaegal joins him in eating the soldiers when Jon Stark says it's okay.

Even though Daenerys has no regrets about burning Missandei's killers alive, she still holds a meeting. She is angered when people suggest that she change her method of executing traitors. When Varys speaks out against her she points out his hypocrisy and orders his execution. She waits as everyone but Jorah Mormont and Jon Stark leaves. She's been waiting the whole meeting for this moment. She knew he would abandon their alliance and decides to use it as an excuse to burn Winterfell to the ground.

Daenerys Targaryen notices that something is bothering Jorah Mormont. He says that it's merely because he can't truly conceive how her taking the throne can be real. She doubts herself and he is right there to reassure her that she is strong. As they start to make love, Jorah says he needs to take a walk and that he'll finish once he's back.

Jorah makes good on his word and she falls asleep in his arms. When they wake they decide to 'celebrate' again. After they get dressed a messenger says that Jaime Lannister has gone rogue and is heading towards Daenerys. This anger the Targaryen and makes her regret letting Tyrion live as he must know what his brother is doing. She offers to let Jorah execute Tyrion if the time comes. Jorah says the Lannister is her gift as a reason he won't.

As Daenerys and Jorah make their way to the beach, she asks if Jon told Jorah anything. After Jorah says that Jon asked him to leave her side, Daenerys guesses that the walk the previous night was a way for Jorah to clear his head. When they get on their ship, Daenerys gives a speech to her men about breaking the wheel. Afterwards she admits to Jorah about feeling nervous.

Attacking King's Landing
Daenerys Targaryen burns the Scorpions as Jorah Mormont leads the attack on the ground. When she is able to she burns down the gates to allow everyone inside the city. The Lannister soldiers quickly surrender and it seems like the day will end peacefully.

But then the bells start ringing and wildfire starts exploding throughout the city. Instead of being scared Daenerys is delighted for her good fortune. She isn't the one killing the citizens of King's Landing, not really, and so there is no longer any guilt in her mind. She flies Drogon to burn buildings and people alike.

TRIVIA
-Being raised a Targaryen, Daenerys doesn't understand why incest is a problem for Jon.
-Daenerys doesn't want to give Jorah a choice of whether or not to be her king.
-Daenerys wants to burn down Winterfell but needs a way to rationalize it as she doesn't she herself as a villain. In the beginning of the fic she rationalized burning Winterfell as just another strategy to defeat the dead. When Jon breaks off their alliance, she uses the fact that both him and Sansa are in Winterfell.
